The Kapsule is a reading light that fits onto, and draws power from, the Kindle. It also has a slide-out kickstand, so you can prop up your Kindle while you're reading. Right now, Pieco has a final prototype ready, and has finalised a list of materials needed (along with potential suppliers) but still needs to figure out packaging, to get injection moulds made, and several other bits and pieces.
Cue Kickstarter, which Pieco is hoping will allow them to raise enough money to get Kapsules ready for market.
For more info, head over to the Pieco website; alternatively, if you want to get involved, you can pledge anything from $1 to over $500 over on the Kickstarter page. $1 will get you a download of the files needed to print your own Kapsule; $500 will get you two finished Kapsules as well as a hand-crafted prototype version before the real thing goes into production, and a signed customised Kindle.
